Guarnierius 'Clavero' tenor banjo.This is a really very high quality tenor banjo made by Guarnieri inParis in the twenties or early thirties.The wooden back is maple of a high quality with inlaid black stringingaround the circumference and all in an excellent condition. The hardwareis all in gold and the neck has a gentle V-shape to it. The fingerboard is highlydecorated in inlaid abelone on eight frets and there is a very rare brass capo fitted,which can be moved. The headstock has further abelone inlay designs and with amother-of-pearl plaque reading ''Guarnieri Clavero Par''.It comes it its original dark blue velvet lined hardcase which has a replacement handle.
