Guarnierius 'Clavero' tenor banjo.
This is a really very high quality tenor banjo made by Guarnieri in
Paris in the twenties or early thirties.
The wooden back is maple of a high quality with inlaid black stringing
around the circumference and all in an excellent condition. The hardware
is all in gold and the neck has a gentle V-shape to it. The fingerboard is highly
decorated in inlaid abelone on eight frets and there is a very rare brass capo fitted,
which can be moved. The headstock has further abelone inlay designs and with a
mother-of-pearl plaque reading ''Guarnieri Clavero Par''.
It comes it its original dark blue velvet lined hardcase which has a replacement handle.
