Hofner Galaxie 176

Hofner Galaxie model 176 made in Germany in the Hofner factory early to mid sixties and finished in the original red with black scratchplate. There are three ''staple'' pickups each with an on/off switch and each with a tone wheel - there is an overall volume wheel plus a rhythm/solo switch giving plenty of tone and sound variations.
The fretboard contains twenty-two frets with full width markers and the headstock has the raised ''Hofner'' logo and the covered ''butterfly'' tuners. It is all original apart from the tremolo arm tip and the two screws in the top tuner; and it plays extremely well.
